1. Insurance – If you rent you need to insure your belongings. If you own be sure you are insured for reconstruction cost (not real estate value). Also be sure you have flood insurance; most policies do not include flood insurance.
2. Sign up for Alert Charlotte! Go to AlertCharlotte.com this will allow you to receive messages for Charlotte Co.
3. Think ahead about your evacuation plan: where to go and what to take with you. Gas for your cars, food, water, medicines, phone, phone charger, phone numbers, money, important documents and pet supplies.
